Educators get connected: Twitter

We live in a society that is changing rapidly.  In the past if we wanted to learn about something, we read a book.  If we wanted to communicate with someone, we called them from a landline phone or wrote them a letter.  Our peers and friends were people we met and saw face to face.  With the internet, mobile phones and tablets, most of the above is obsolete.  Add social media to the mix and the world is a smaller place.  We can safely say that social media has become a mainstay in today’s society.  It is how many get news, communicate and most importantly, learn.  How does social media change the way educators learn?
