Living on a cattle farm in Arkansas often has challenges, but finding a dead cow is not only a financial loss, it also raises concerns for the well-being of the rest of the herd.  We had fed our cows that morning, and she had been fine.  What could have happened in only a few hours?  Read on and I'll explain how researching this dilemma gave my students an idea for a class project.
